Adolescents can struggle with mental health issues just the same as adults. In the U.S., more than 16 percent of kids under age 18 – or one out of six – experience a mental health disorder such as depression, anxiety, or substance abuse. Yet nearly half do not receive treatment.*

The good news is, adolescents' mental health programs offered at our facilities can prevent more severe, lasting problems as kids get older. That’s why it’s so important to get help as early as possible.

We offer help to adolescents ages 12 - 18. And we offer hope to kids and their families.

What We Treat

It can be tough to know if you have a mental health disorder, especially when you’re a teenager or younger. These years can be challenging for anyone.

But it’s not uncommon for symptoms of potentially serious illnesses to first show during adolescence. These conditions are painful, dangerous, and frightening.

We treat adolescents with:

Our facility provides a safe, secure space where kids can grow and heal, where they can learn skills that will help them for the rest of their lives.

What Treatment Programs Look Like

At our treatment center, kids participate in programs designed specifically for them. They’re cared for by a team of mental health professionals who are trained in working with adolescents. All of our programs include an educational component so that kids can keep up with their schoolwork.

Inpatient treatment

We provide 24-hour medical monitoring for adolescent females ages 13 and older who are experiencing emotional instability. Our inpatient program offers structured, supportive care that includes therapeutic programming and medication management to help stabilize symptoms and support recovery.

Family involvement is an essential part of the treatment process. Across all adolescent programs, we work closely with families to support long-term wellness and healthy routines. Patients also participate in age-appropriate group therapy, where they can build skills and connect with peers around topics relevant to their experiences.

Outpatient treatment

Our adolescent mental health services provide outpatient treatment ages 5+ through two formats. In our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), kids take part in individual, group, and family therapy, as well as holistic, activity-based therapy like art, music, and yoga. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) meets less frequently but also offers talk therapy, recreational therapy, and medication management.

Parents and adolescents should never have to choose between education and mental health. Throughout their experience, kids receive age-appropriate education through collaborations with local schools and teachers. We also work with kids, schools, and families when it’s time to reintegrate back to school, to make the transition as smooth as possible.

How to Start

The first step to feeling better is to come to one of our facilities for a comprehensive mental health assessment. We’ll ask about your adolescent's current and past symptoms, health history, and any other concerns. During the assessment, we also provide orientation for parents and can answer any of your questions about mental health treatment.

Assessments can be scheduled by phone or chat, anytime day or night.

Following the assessment, our team will work with your adolescent and family to determine the best approach to treatment. Each treatment plan is unique, based on your adolescent's needs and goals.
